Confluent is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Video Production Specialist to join our Brand Video team. This role is critical in bringing our brand stories to life through high-quality video content. You will be responsible for managing our in-house studio, overseeing equipment, and leading on-site video shoots and recordings. This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical expertise with your creative vision and play a key role in elevating our brand presence.
This is a remote/hybrid position. The candidate must be located within driving distance of our headquarters in Mountain View, CA to effectively manage the studio and on-site productions.
What You Will Do:
Studio Management: Maintain the organization, functionality, and readiness of our in-house studio. This includes managing equipment inventory, ensuring proper equipment maintenance, and overseeing studio scheduling.
Video Production: Lead and execute video shoots and recordings in our studio, including setup, lighting, audio recording, and talent direction. Operate cameras, audio equipment, and lighting to capture high-quality footage.Manage all aspects of on-site production, from pre-production planning to post-production wrap-up.
Video Editing & Post-Production: Edit raw footage into polished videos, selecting optimal takes, incorporating audio, light animation, and motion graphics. Implement stakeholder feedback and deliver final files in various formats.
Collaboration: Partner closely with other teams and vendors for productions. Work with other team members to develop video concepts, production plans, and schedules. Help roadmap equipment upgrades and purchases.
Technical Expertise: Troubleshoot technical issues related to video equipment and software. Stay current on industry trends and software advancements.
What You Will Bring:
Proven Experience: 5+ years of experience in video production with a strong emphasis on studio management and on-site shooting. Experience in corporate video production for a software company is highly desirable.
Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of video cameras, lighting equipment, audio recording, and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects).
Studio Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain a studio environment, including equipment inventory, organization, and scheduling.
Production Expertise: Proven ability to plan and execute video shoots independently, including setup, lighting, audio recording, and directing talent.
Editing Skills: Strong video editing skills with the ability to create polished and engaging content.
Collaborative Spirit: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
Self-Starter: Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

This position has an annual estimated salary of $117,700 - $138,240, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package.
