About the Role:

Lead the Confluent on Azure business globally. Drive company-wide strategy and execution - from engineering to product to sales & marketing - to unlock exponential growth through our Azure partnership. Building on our strong foundation, you'll create a step change in how we operate - establishing Azure as a key growth pillar for our business while deepening our strategic relationship with Microsoft.

What You Will Do:

  • Drive the vision and comprehensive strategy for our Azure business across all functions

  • Create alignment and accountability across engineering, product, marketing, and sales teams

  • Lead our strategic relationship with Azure at Microsoft

  • Identify and capture new growth opportunities for Azure partnership and platform innovation

  • Partner closely with leadership teams at both Confluent and Azure to ensure aligned execution and shared success in the field

  • Establish frameworks and metrics to measure and drive Azure business success

  • Champion organizational changes needed for scale

  • Integrate Azure co-sell and solution strategies deeply into our core sales motion, ensuring they're built into our fundamental go-to-market approach

  • Build compelling business cases using data and insights to showcase Azure + Confluent

What You Will Bring:

  • Deep understanding of Azure's product portfolio, particularly data and analytics services

  • Deep network within Azure's organization and leadership

  • Strong knowledge of Azure's go-to-market motions, including:

  • Enterprise sales motion and account mapping

  • Field sales structure and incentives

  • Azure co-sell programs

  • Azure Marketplace strategy

  • 15+ years of experience in strategic B2B/SaaS roles of which at least 8 years in a leadership capacity

  • Track record scaling successful cloud partnerships or business lines

  • Experience driving organizational alignment in complex environments

  • Technical fluency in enterprise software/cloud platforms

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $270,000 - $324,000 USD, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Confluent offers a wide range of employee benefits.
